Latest Thoughts on Beach Ordinances

I’ve asked our new city attorney (in charge of code enforcement) to give us an opinion on if or existing ordinances already provide a basis for sign violations.
I’m thinking we should adopt the same shark fishing prohibition as Madera Beach.
As for cabana zones, our city will begin enforcing our existing turtle season ordinance requiring cabana stacking at night. Of course, once cabanas are stacked, there will be wooden posts sticking out of the sand (posts used to define the alcohol service zone). This highlights why cabana zones should be defined by the placement of the cabanas themselves-no need for wooden posts.
